HR Business Partners (People Partners) lead the implementation of the people agenda for all business groups within the Secret Escapes Group. They act as " trusted advisors" to leaders, providing advice, guidance, and challenge with a commercial viewpoint. They are accountable for driving employee engagement, performance, and team effectiveness initiatives with their business partners.

Things you’ll be working on:
This role reports to the People Director for Slevomat Group and provides partnering support across Zlavomat, home to around 100 of our people. You will work collaboratively with People Team colleagues across Secret Escapes, Travelist, Slevomat, Zl'avomat and Skrz, with the support of Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience and the Reward and People Services teams.
You will own elements of the people roadmap and take an active role in key projects, have a direct report of the Office Manager, and be a key enabler of managers and team leaders to maximise the performance and impact of their teams through:
Building Talent & Developing Capability
- Working in partnership with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective hiring of talent against an agreed recruitment forecast.
- Supporting the People Director for Slevomat Group in delivering regular talent reviews and implementing development programmes, building a diverse leadership talent pipeline, and ensuring the retention of critical talent via the creation of development tools for the business.
Employee Engagement & Experience
- Ensuring high levels of employee engagement, as measured by our employee survey and resulting action plans. Working in partnership with the Employee Experience team to deliver a positive employee experience.
- Acting as the link with office management for the Berlin & Amsterdam offices, working in partnership to deliver a positive employee experience.
Performance & Reward
- Supporting people managers to have engaging & effective performance conversations in their teams.
- Facilitating team sessions, coaching, supporting and creating action plans for teams, and providing guidance on improvement plans.
- Support the effective implementation of the SE Reward approach, alongside the Senior People Partner, our Head of Reward and People Services.
Employee Relations
- Ensure employee relations matters are dealt with robustly and pragmatically, balancing risk effectively.
- Act as the key facilitator/coordinator of key people processes in collaboration with our Central People services team.
How the magic happens
There are around 30 people in our people team across the Secret Escapes group, with 13 based in the Slevomat Group supporting not only CZ/SK markets but also Travelist and other SE Brands entities. We are an international bunch – you will get to work with People Team colleagues based in London, Warsaw, Berlin, Bratislava, and Prague, and we love having such a diverse team.

To be successful in this role, you will have…
- Experience as an HR generalist with a track record of successful delivery and collaboration within a wider people team.
- Knowledge and application of employment law, HR policies, principles, and procedures
- The ability to use data to influence business decisions
- A good understanding of SK employment law
- Experience in working with an international company.
- Hold or working towards a professional HR Qualification.
- Fluency in Slovak and English language.
