What is ICAL?
ICAL is a standard for the exchange of calendar data, which offers the possibility of connecting several channels. Thanks to the connection, bookings from all sales channels are synchronized, so there is no risk of overbooking. Availability is therefore synchronized in all places where you sell your services (eg Zľavomat, Airbnb, Booking.com and others).
Who should I contact to start cooperation and how does it work?
If you are already using sales opportunities through Zlávomat and at the same time on other channels that have the option of linking using iCal, but you do not yet have both products linked, contact your Zlávomat sales representative.
How does the connection work?
- The partner and the channel (Zľavomat) agree to cooperation and connection through Termino with the activation of ICAL.
- The partner switches on the "ICAL" option in the Termino system.
- Subsequently, he maps the rooms in the Term, with each room there are 2 fields for Import and Export URL.
- In the "iCal import" field, the partner enters the iCal URL of the given room, which the partner obtains from another channel with which he wants to synchronize.
- Conversely, from the "iCal export" field, the partner copies the given URL for the room from Termina to the place from where he manages the room on his side (e.g. Google calendar, etc.).
- After entering all URLs for all rooms, the link should be complete.
- Using ICAL, the blockings that the partner creates in the Date will also be seen on other channels, and it also works the other way around – using ICAL, we can see in the Date the blockings/foreign bookings that the partner has made on other channels.
More URL lines for importing rooms:
Unfortunately, as Zľavomat, we do not allow the insertion of multiple import lines for an individual room in the Term, we can only insert one URL line.
There are, for example, services that can create one from several iCal lines, which can then be inserted into Termina.
Frequently asked questions:
- The customer requests the cancellation of the reservation: Cancellation can only be done by Zľavomat. Please direct the customer to our customer support (podpora@zlavomat.sk, phone +421 232 117 32) or send information about voucher cancellation directly to the e‑mail podpora@zlavomat.sk. We will take care of everything. Please do not delete the reservation from the system under any circumstances. As soon as we cancel the voucher, you will receive a confirmation email.
- The customer wants to change the date of stay: If the customer contacts you and wants to change the date, you can directly agree on a new date with him and change the date directly in the Termino system. The change should be copied to the partner interface automatically within about 1.5 hours, then you can check in the partner interface whether everything has been copied correctly.
- The customer wants to change the room type: If the customer wants to change the room type, you make the change yourself in your Termino system.
- What should I do when I receive an email about a new booking/changed date/cancellation? The e‑mail is only information for you and is sent as a confirmation of the change Zľavomat made in your system. If you want to be 100% sure, we recommend checking its execution directly on your system.
- What to do when I want to add a new room type or the room itself to the sale? First, add a new room or room type in your Termina for Zľavomat, where you manage everything regarding ICAL in Zľavomat – that is, you enter the URL for import and upload the URL for export on your page, from where you also manage rooms for other channels. Then inform us about the addition of the room, so that we can also add the given room type to the event from our side.
